DREAD DISEASE

What am I insured against?

In the event that your or one of your family are diagnosed with a dread disease, an amount of up to N$150,000 will be paid out. The following are classified as dread disease in terms of the policy:

  • Cancer
  • Heart Attack
  • Stroke
  • Paraplegia
  • Kidney failure
  • Organ transplant
  • Blindness
  • Motor Neuron Disease

How do I claim?

Submit a claim to your nearest Trustco office together with all relevant medical information within 60 days of diagnosis.  Claims forms can also be submitted via e-mail.  Check the address on our home page.

What happens next?

Your claim will be assessed and, if necessary, further medical information will be obtained.  Once approved, the benefit will be paid out to you.

 

INCOME PROTECTION

What am I insured against?

This benefit covers you and your spouse or partner against loss of salary/income due to illness.  The maximum cover is N$40,000 for a period of 12 months. You or your spouse must be under the age of 55 when you apply for this benefit.

How do I claim?

Submit a claim to your nearest Trustco office together with all relevant information within 60 days.  Claims forms can also be submitted via e-mail.  Check the address on our home page.

What happens next?

Your claim will be assessed and, if necessary, further information/documentation will be obtained.  Once approved, the benefit will be paid out to you on a monthly basis.

 

HOSPITALISATION

What am I insured against?

In the event that you or a family member is hospitalised for a period of seven (7) days or longer, you will receive a cash benefit.  Your or your spouse must be under the age of 55 when you apply for this benefit.

What benefits do I receive?

In the event of hospitalisation, as described above, you will receive a payout of the cash benefit.  If you or your spouse/partner are hospitalised, you will receive N$1,250 per day and in the event that one of your dependent children are hospitalised your will receive N$750 per day.

Your claim will be assessed and, if necessary, further information/documentation will be obtained.  Once approved, the benefit will be paid out to you

 

FUNERAL

With the Funeral benefit you and your spouse and up to 5 dependent children are covered against the cost incurred for a funeral. This benefit will pay out N$30 000 upon the death of the main member or his/her spouse, with a N$60 000 benefit if the death was caused by an accident. Children are and extended family members are covered for N$15 000 or N$30 000 where death results from an accident.

Who is covered?

You, your spouse or partner in a recognised customary union or co-habiting partner (under the age of 65 years) and a maximum of five (5) dependent children under the age of 21 who form part of the household are covered. Dependent children who study full-time at a recognised educational institution and are under the age of 25 may be included. With the Family Funeral option, you can add an extra family member under the age of 65 who will gain cover of N$ 15 000 upon death of the policy holder and N$ 30 000 if death was caused by an accident.

What am I insured against?

Payment of the insured amount of the funeral benefit to a nominated beneficiary or your estate to assist with expenses related to your funeral.

How do I claim?

A claim form together with a death certificate and relevant medical documentation has to be submitted within 90 days of your death to your nearest Trustco office.

What happens next?

The claim will be assessed and the funeral benefit will be paid to the nominated beneficiary or the estate.
